2021 has been a rewarding year for 21:5 and our team members. In August we moved to our new, and much larger, location in Latrobe.
We celebrated our move at Latrobe’s Banana Split Celebration in Legion Keener Park. We recruited the help of our families to spin cotton candy (make a big mess!) and hand out the sugary goodness to anyone who stopped by. We plan to be at the celebration each year so we hope you will be able to join us in 2022 and feel free to stop by the office to say hello if you’re in the neighborhood!
Not only did our team upgrade locations, but we also upgraded our team! With our new home, we needed an Office Manager, so we welcomed Jill Dunlap!
Jill was not our only addition to the team, though. This summer Ethan and his wife Siara became first time parents to the adorable Lacey Jade! Now he has also added “diaper changing expert” to his list of qualifications!
As our team and our location grew, so did our business. Year to date we have added 40% more households and approximately 43% more assets under management. During our growth and also navigating volatility, the interest rate environment and inflation this year, we placed over 6,500 trades for our clients!
Our success is attributed to all of you; we wouldn’t have been able to experience our growth without you. Thank you for your kind words, your encouragement, and your referrals to family and friends.
One of our ways to say thank you is by giving back to our local communities. In addition to the non-profit boards Dan sits on, he supported the Derry area sports teams in various ways. You may have even seen our sign at midget football games!
Jill and Ethan spent a lot of their time volunteering with their church in Derry. Jill served meals and hosted game nights with the residents of Derry Station. She also organized holiday dinners and events at the church.
As a youth leader Ethan spent a lot of time planning and hosting a variety of events and participated as a drummer for the Harvest Church worship team. When he wasn’t at the church, or changing diapers, he was volunteering his time as a member of the Murrysville Historical Preservation Society. Ethan also completed all the requirements to become a Notary earlier this year and is able to fulfill those duties for our clients.
While Rebecca may not live local to the Latrobe office, she supported her local community in Beaver County. This year she was elected Treasurer of the Central Valley PTA and has volunteered for many of their events. She also started coaching girls’ soccer, both indoors and out!
When not volunteering with the kids, Rebecca is studying for the Enrolled Agent designation so that she will be able to expand the tax capabilities we have for our clients. We are able to prepare tax returns for those looking for help during tax time next year.
Ron has been busy in the garage this past year. When not working with his clients, he has been restoring his 1967 Dodge Charger that he has owned since high school. His newest project is to help his grandson restore a 2002 GMC pickup truck. We hope to have more photos of that in the future!
